The IEEE-MTTS Bangalore Chapter in association with IEEE Bangalore Section, IETE Bangalore Centre and IET,Bangalore Network (erstwhile IEE(UK) Bangalore Chapter) is organising the 4th International Symposium on Microwaves ( ISM-10) during 11-14 December 2010. Pre-Symposium tutorials on contemporary topics by well known experts will be held on 11 Dec 10. The symposium technical sessions and exhibition are scheduled for 12-14 Dec 10.
Tremendous strides have been made in the field of microwave engineering. The advent of MICs, MMICs, RF MEMS, Smart Antennas and High Speed Mixed Signal Components, led to advanced applications of Digital Circuits at GHz speed, Wi Max, UWB, RFID etc. The advances in Computational Techniques, CAD, Instrumentation and Measurement Techniques have added newer dimensions in design, evaluation and fault diagnosis.
The main objective of this Symposium, the fourth in the series, is to bring together experts from world renowned academic institutions, R&D organisations and industries in the field of microwave engineering, to share their valuable expertise by presenting their pioneer contributions and discussing the future trends. The symposium also aims to create awareness among the youth on the current challenges in Microwaves to attract young talent to pursue research in the spectacular field of Microwaves.
An Indoor Exhibition is also being organised to provide an opportunity to manufacturers/ vendors/ R&D Organisations to show case core competency. The symposium and exhibition are planned and being organised in the same lines of the highly successful IRSI- series and is also biennial (even years). A Souvenir is also being brought out on the Inaugural Day. The organisers are committed to arrange fruitful interactions with the spectrum of participants. We proudly recall that ISM –08 was a grand success in terms of Technical Content / Participation and Exhibits.
